My daughter and I are headed to Canada on Tuesday for two months! Reuniting with my family, that we haven't seen in over a year, and heading to Maui in April, Joris will join us for that leg of the trip, for my best friends wedding! I may blog while I am away, I may not haha, but you most definitely can keep up with what I am doing in beautiful BC, what we are doing on Maui, on my Instagram so give it a follow!
The weather cooperated so that I could squeeze in my last session, in Rotterdam, until May! I met Fleur last year, after being connected on Facebook for awhile, at a ladies dinner. I was immediately struck by how open Fleur is, friendly, passionate about what she does and her gorgeous blue eyes. She is stunning! Fleur is born in Amsterdam, lived in the U.K. as a child and as a student and was also an au pair there! She has lived in Rotterdam for 15 years so to say she knows the city is an understatement :) She is so passionate about this city, what it has to offer and our expat community. Fleur is the director of the non-profit InTouch Expats Rotterdam. InTouch, and Fleur, are an amazing resource for expats! Their Facebook page is constantly updated with information from what's happening in and around Rotterdam, to news that affects Rotterdamers, to questions from expats that are quickly answered by Fleur herself or others. They plan events, Halloween at Plaswijckpark was brilliant, and so much more! Fleur wants to help expats adapt and meet, not only other expats, but also Dutchies which is so important when living in a new country. Fleur is such an asset to the expat community!
I met with Fleur and her gorgeous kids Isobel and Oliver at Restaurant De Tuin van de Vier Windstreken in Kralingen, so lovely, caught up on life and it gave me a chance to get to know Isobel and Oliver. Isobel is super artistic, she plays the guitar, and Oliver, reminded me of my own little brother! He recently started taekwondo! So adorable! After lunch we ventured outside and began our session. Fleur needed some new headshots and Isobel is looking to build a portfolio and we managed to get a couple of Oliver too ;) As you can see Fleur, Isobel and Oliver are SUPER photogenic! Aren't they gorgeous!?!?!? We wandered around Kralingse Plas and found some fantastic spots! We stopped into the park so Oliver could burn off some energy and near the end of our session we encountered some, typical, Dutch wind. We already have a family session planned for the summer and I am so looking forward to heading back to Kralingse Plas, hopefully, near sunset! Fleur, Isobel and Oliver - thank you so much for a wonderful afternoon! I had such a great time with you all and am already looking forward to our summer session! Enjoy xx
