Cristiani is originally from Curitiba a city located in Southern Brazil. She worked as a school coordinator until, out of nowhere, the school was shut down and she was forced to head Northeast for work. A friend of her cousin offered her a job as a manager in a hotel that her father owned. Four months into her new job and Cristiani was itching for a career change.  Joost walked into the hotel one day and swept her off of her feet. Cristiani applied for a job as an aupair in Paris, France and was offered the position. Cristiani stayed in Paris for 15 months and made her way to The Netherlands,  Joost is from Barendrecht, at least once a month to get to know him better. They fell in love and Cristiani has happily called The Netherlands her home for nine years!

Eleven years together and a son, later they made the choice for Cristiani to be a stay at home mom to soak up every ounce of time with David. Cristiani speaks Portuguese to him, in my opinion the most beautiful language in the world, and Joost speaks Dutch to him. Kids are unreal! During our session David was responding in both languages and singing me songs in English! Trilingual at two years old! Amazing! What struck me about Cristiani and Joost was their calmness. They are the most relaxed, soft spoken and kind parents I have ever met. David was enjoying the leaves, in Het Park in Rotterdam, and they were loving watching him just having a great time and got involved themselves. I really appreciated that they let him 'do his thing' and it allowed me to capture some beautiful images of Cristiani and Joost and David enjoying the park and all the gorgeousness fall has to offer. Cristiani, Joost and David: thank you so much for allowing me to create memories with you and choosing me as your photographer. I loved hearing your story and getting to know you all! I hope to catch up with you all again soon! Enjoy xx

Those gorgeous blue eyes!!!

One of my favorite images to date! So much LOVE!
